I cut the cable-umbilical cord about three years ago, so I don’t see many commercial advertisements these days. That’s probably why, when I came across this gem of a video, I was first reminded of watching the Superbowl. Yeah, I watch the Superbowl- I said it. I ENJOY FOOTBALL. Anyway. I also watch the Superbowl as it’s something of a marketing gold mine for obvious reasons. At a gadjillion dollars a 30 second TV spot, you know they’re mostly going to be damn good. Especially those ones with the ‘personal’ feel, you know? The deep-voiced narration, the colorful scenes spliced together, the tug-at-your-heartstrings wording. Ah. I love it. Especially this year’s ad for Chrysler, starring and narrated by Bob effin’ Dylan himself.
That said. This brings me to this hilariously snarky, satirical Generic Brand Marketing video.
I can’t. Stop. Laughing.
