i was lucky enough to randomly catch this band a few weeks ago when they opened for Jolie Holland at the Record Bar here in KC. in a word: stunning.

i love the lead singer’s voice, & the music was astounding. At one point it even turned into a sock hop or something- lots of people on the dance floor, Mel & i even got in on it. They were from Portland- all really cool people as well, which should definitely be mentioned.
