This beautiful typographic image is courtesy of The Holstee Company, maybe you’ve seen it before. i don’t think i have personally though, so felt like spreading the word in case others hadn’t either. i think my favorite part is “Getting lost will help you find yourself.”
This really is the kind of poster i should have hanging on my wall, or maybe even my bedroom ceiling, so everyday i can remember how true to life it all really is.
i’ve been thinking a lot lately about ‘happiness’ and what the word actually means. In all actuality it’s something i’ve been trying to figure out for a long time. In truth i don’t have many more answers than i had ten years ago, much less five, but i do think i’m getting closer.
One thing for me is that i’ve always believed that to help someone else is to help yourself. I’ve been trying to do this more lately. Even in small ways. Still sometimes it can be hard to get out of your own mind for awhile.
Things that make me happy right now are:
sleeping dog on my couch, cool spring air coming in the windows, freshly painted kitchen walls (pale lavendar gray shade), and soft Iron & Wine songs. Marlboro reds. Lilies opening in the garden today.
This is a song (video version obviously) that i listen to sometimes when i need some inspiration about life as well.

Happiness is something I’m seriously struggling with at the moment. I’d never seen that manifesto before, but reading it was a comfort.nnI want a polka-dot dress like yours by the way.
