& all everyone’s been talking about all day was the impending blizzard the meteorologists promised will shut down the city tomorrow. hm. i’m not sure if i believe we’ll get as much as they say we will, but if we did, i wouldn’t mind so much.
tonight i rediscovered my love of collecting strange & interesting postcards. well, one thing lead to another & yes, i did it: i went back to ebay. i’ve got some coming soon from a wonderful store, The San Francisciana. not only are the postcards beautiful, but the typography on the back is wonderful. i dig old styles of playing with type. The group photo of the Gold Miners below is circa 1890′s, reproduced sometime in the thirties.
